So I've been making "blocks" from left over material for a "crazy" type quilt.   I'm using fun stitches on my machine to try and see what all I could do/create.   Here are the first three blocks:

I should post some of the quilt blocks and/or tops these scraps are from.   I'm ready to do block #4 tonight.    I really want to do more quilting,   I've also recently used my quilting machine (had for 7 years just used it recently - sad but true):

Time to bring the blog back to life with crafty items.   Below is Ornament Girl ornaments - I purchased the kit from https://theornamentgirl.com/ where I am a member.   I've done several ornaments for Christmas gifts for family (more pictures to come).   This one was for a friend of ours.

Start of the Rocket Quilt

My niece, Hope, is having a baby boy in less than 9 weeks.  Actually I think the baby will be here around end of March/beginning of April.  She has decided upon a rocket theme ... which is hard to find any material that I could use.

I did find some, but wanted to make the center square unique and special for lil' Logan.  Here is what I came up with:

It came out better than I expected.  I plan on putting his name in the stars.  I can't wait to get this blanket complete.  I got the ideal from a coloring page:

http://scrapcoloring.com

There you will find tons of coloring pages for ideas, and you can find the rocket as well if you wish to do your own "rocket" quilt :)

Newest Quilting

I'm doing a block of the month on the quilting board I participate on.  It's a Star BOM.  I've showing the two blocks I've done so far:

Also, I have a quilting class I've been working on as well.  The hunter's star ... and here's the picture ...

I have another class tomorrow night ... can't wait to finish this :)

Today's Craftyness

I had some creativity flowing today ... I so wanted to do some jewelry.  I did a pair a week before Christmas, but today I really started using my wig jig (do a google to see what that jewelry tool is and what all you can do with it) ...

Here is a picture of the earrings I've made ...

I really love the heart ones.  The triangle ones didn't come out right ... and the light blue ones and green ones were good ...   pretty cool for the first time I've done anything using the wig jig ... I think I've done pretty well :)

Happy Holidays

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas, and I'm looking forward to 2011!

I wanted to show a gift I made my husband.  He wanted a sweathshirt made when he saw my snowman sweatshirt, the only thing was he wanted Taz.  He has great faith in me huh?

I should do a tutorial on how I have done these sweatshirts ... maybe someday soon! :)

Here's his Taz sweatshirt ...

and the handiwork close up ....

I can't believe another year is over!   I'm not sure what craft I want to do next ... but have a few I need to show you that I've done with clay!  Next post...

Painted Sweatshirt/Tshirt

I'm enclosing pictures of a sweatshirt and tshirt I painted.  The Santa Tshirt was done with a stencil I purchased at WallyWorld for $1.00.  The Snowman sweathshirt was painted with a stencil I made from freezer paper and used fabric paints.  I should do a tutorial on how I did it :D
